The organization said that Keselowski still is scheduled to start Sunday’s Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 (2 p.m. ET, FOX, PRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio), the second race of the Monster Energy Series season. Keselowski appeared in the garage midway through the 80-minute session, preparing to load in for limited track time.

Cindric, 20, loaded in as the track opened for final practice, with Team Penske crew members applying yellow tape to the rear bumper as a makeshift rookie stripe. Cindric also is scheduled to start fifth in Saturday’s Xfinity Series race, driving the Roger Penske-owned No. 22 Ford.

Keselowski earned the 19th starting spot in Friday’s Busch Pole qualifying.
