Preview: ‘NASCAR Heat Champions: Road to Miami’ championship weekend

Twelve competitors will race for more than $15,000 in prizes in the inaugural NASCAR Heat Champions: Road to Miami Finals presented by Xfinity, set to take place this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

After weeks of online competition on NASCAR Heat 3, the fastest nine drivers have won a trip to Miami, Florida. They will be joined by three additional players, who will qualify this Friday and Saturday at the track, to make up the 12-driver field.

The winner-take-all virtual race will take place Sunday at 10:30 am ET in the track’s midway fan zone and will be live streamed on NASCAR.com and Twitch.TV/704nascarheat.

After weeks of grueling competition that spanned the 2018 NASCAR Playoffs, nine drivers have qualified in to the NASCAR Heat Champions Road to Miami Finals presented by Xfinity:

Shawn A. from Marion, IL

John M. from Royal Palm Beach, FL

Fans headed to Homestead-Miami Speedway for Ford Championship Weekend will have the chance to qualify for the final three spots. Visit Esports Arena Drive in the midway at the track to learn more.

What’s on the line?

More than $15,000 in money and prizes will be up for grabs on Sunday. Additionally, the winner of NASCAR Heat Champions: Road to Miami presented by Xfinity will also have a shot at $500,000. The winner must correctly guess the official race time of the Ford EcoBoost 400 within 5 seconds.
