Moffitt captures ISM Raceway win, spot in Championship 4
Brett Moffitt took the lead on a restart with three laps remaining in the Lucas Oil 150 at ISM Raceway in Phoenix to surge from third to the checkered flag Friday — locking him into the Camping World Truck Series’ Championship 4 next week at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Moffitt’s win is his fifth of the season, coming in the final race of the NASCAR Playoffs Round of 6. Moffitt was able to scoot past leaders Noah Gragson and Grant Enfinger on the final restart to capture the victory. Gragson finished second, while Harrison Burton, Enfinger and Stewart Friesen rounded out the top five.

Moffitt joins Johnny Sauter (Martinsville winner), Justin Haley (Texas winner) and Noah Gragson as the four drivers who will compete for the championship in the Nov. 16 season finale. Enfinger and Matt Crafton were eliminated from the playoff field.
Moffitt was able to overcome an early speeding penalty to secure the victory in the 150-lap, 150-mile race. Pit stops following the conclusion of Stage 1 brought a shakeup to the leaders. Stage winner Moffitt was penalized for going too fast on pit road, and was sent to the rear of the field, restarting at 21st.
Gragson, meanwhile, overshot his pit box, brushed against the wall and had to be pushed away to for the crew to change left side tires — and dropped to 13th from second.
The race featured six cautions, and Burton led a race-high 46 laps.
The red flag came out on Lap 131 after oil leaked from Haley’s No. 24 Chevrolet. He had been running in fifth place when he was forced to come to pit road, and exited the race. The red flag was out for 11 minutes, 47 seconds.
